Weekend in the Mountains of North Carolina

This weekend I am in the mountains of North Carolina visiting my parents. The scenery is just stunning! Right near their house is a huge state forest with waterfalls and long hiking trails. As much as I love New York, escaping the bustle of the city and spending time in actual nature (as opposed to fake nature (think Central Park)) makes you realize what you give up living in New York. I really miss being surrounded by nature without any other people in sight.
