Dining Outside in NYC

It's finally warm enough to start eating outside again! This is one of my favorite things about NYC - that when the weather is nice many of the restaurants set up outdoor eating areas. They put out cute tables and chairs that spill out into the sidewalk, string up lights and set up flowers. It has a very European, romantic feel, while at the same time being exciting and distinctly New York. And you are practically sitting in the sidewalk which makes for great people watching. For our past two dinners out we went to Monaco and the Hi-Life, two of our favorite restaurants on the Upper West Side.

In the photo on the left are Monaco's Mediterranean Cigars with Feta Cheese and Spinach (there were 4 on the plate but I was too slow getting the camera out...). On the right, the Ribeye Steak with Greens and Potatoes and the Roasted Eggplant Roll with Creamy Goat Cheese, Walnuts and Tomato Sauce. Sooooooo good!
