In the company of the greatest

I recently spent a chilly afternoon exploring the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The museum is enormous and three hours was enough to see only 1/4 of the museum, so I anticipate making frequent visits. While I recognize that not everyone enjoys museums, for me there is no place that I would rather spend a leisurely afternoon. I was an art history major in college and love everything about art, the color, movement, expression, stories, history, emotion...everything. Here are some of the highlights from the museum, including pieces by one of my favorite artists and the namesake of this blog Cezanne. More after the jump.
